Afra Mall Oct 2019

As part of the celebration of the world resuscitation day, a mass training took place in Afra mall. Afra mall is the oldest mall in Sudan and is one of the biggest malls. These facts were main factors for choosing this venue as well as the supportive management staff.
The equipment were checked and ready a day before as well as the training team. The equipment consisted of manikins, educational posters along with the instructors uniform. During this activity two inspiring events took place and worth mentioning.

The first is that the security staff were very enthusiastic to take the knowledge and to be trained. With the support if the mall admins they managed re-arrange shifts and to spare some time to be trained. they were very thankful for the trainers and the admins.

The second was this young boy who was very eager to learn what the instructors were teaching from the early beginning. He attentively listened to the talk and quickly got the message. He enjoyed the event and stayed around. He was very difficult for the camera to miss. So, a video was captured of him demonstrating basic life support skills excellently and explaining what he was doing. This passion later progressed to take him to the next level. Later during the day the boy was wearing the instructors vest, inviting other kids and teach them how to perform CPR. Instructors supervise him doing that and they were full of joy and so proud of him. The camera caught him teaching adults how to perform high quality CPR towards the end of the day.

Both events are life changing events for someone. Those events are noted and brought to light. The instructors team are quit sure that many other stories took place but people were too blind to see.
